Early Nibbles

While Adam was tilling up rows for planting corn this morning, I was inspecting peas. Look what I found!
I popped this one and several others in my mouth and took a few to Adam. Those were the sugar snap peas. Then I inspected the English peas.
Yep! We will soon be overrun with peas! These are so yummy -- each one bursts with liquid when bitten into.
And ... the very first tomato! On my cherry chocolate bush in a massive pot by the house.
The buttercrunch lettuce was looking very ready, so I dug up a small, tender head and brought it inside for lunch.
Adam says lettuce, tomato, mayo sandwiches for lunch :) The tomatoes are from WalMart, but the lettuce is all ours!!
